Mr. M. C. Yu, Managing Director of YCY, is one of the founders of the company.

Mr. Yu has over 25 years of experience in AV Retail Management and Purchasing, and is the in-charge of the Merchandising and Inventory Controlling Division of YCY.

Till 2001, Mr. M. C. Yu was the Merchandising Manager of the Merchandising Department in Chung Yuen Electrical Co. Ltd. Mr. Yu attained a number of significant achievements during his time in Chung Yuen.

Mr. Yu successfully:

• Developed the merchandising system and built up a valuable relationship with the agents.
• Developed the AV wholesale business for Chung Yuen. The sales turnover of the AV wholesale business was nearly HK$100 million for the year 2001.
• Created the market of Plasma products and the after-sales-service. As a result of this, Chung Yuen Electrical Co. Ltd. gained a 31.9% market share (as per the GfK market research report 2001) in the Plasma retailing market.

Mr. Patrick Yau, Director and Chief Financial Officer of YCY, is another founder of the company.

Mr. Yau, has over 20 years of experience in Retail Marketing and Management, and is the in-charge of the Administration, Financial and Accounts and Marketing Division of YCY.

Mr. Yau was the General Manager of the Marketing Development Division in Chung Yuen Electrical Co. Ltd., overseeing the Merchandising Department, AV Wholesale Department, Electrical Wholesale Department, Retail Operation Department and Corporate Purchase Services Department.

Mr. Yau successfully:

• Developed the outlets of Chung Yuen from 2 to 9 and pushed up the annual sales turnover from HK$42 million (1995) to HK$380 million (2001).
• Developed the own brand – Kaneda for OEM of Rice cooker, Water heater, Tower Fan and Range Hoods.
• Obtained the exclusive rights in the product launch of Fujitsu plasma PDS-4229S, Samsung plasma SPM-42P2HS, Sharp DVDDV-600, etc. in the market in 2000.
• Created the market of Plasma products and the after-sales-service. As a result of this, Chung Yuen Electrical Co. Ltd. gained a 31.9% market share (as per the GfK market research report 2001) in the Plasma retailing market.

Mr. Ringo Chow, also the founder of the company, is the Executive Director of YCY.

Mr. Chow has over 23 years of experience in AV Retail Management and Purchasing and Promotion, and is the in-charge of the Retailing Management and Wholesale Business of the company.

Before he developed this business with Mr. Yu and Mr. Yau, Mr. Chow had been the sole proprietor of a laser disc hiring shop, the Centre Manager of an AV wholesale business and then the AV Merchandising Manager of the Merchandising Department in Chung Yuen Electrical Co., Ltd. 

He successfully:

• Developed the AV wholesale business for Chung Yuen and earned nearly HK$100 million in business in 2001
